Sunday ride with some pals
Today I went for a motorcycle ride with some of my good Nebraska riding buddies. We decided to head to Lincoln, NE (about 45 miles SW of Omaha) to show Frank's new Victory Cross Country motorcycle to his dad, Frank Sr.
After that we stopped in the small town of Bennet for a great Mexican lunch at Mamasitas restaurant.
Temps started off in the mid 40's, which combined with north winds was kinda brisk, but ended up in the mid to upper 50's, which was quite nice. We stayed completely off the interstate highway and instead traveled on smaller Nebraska state highways, which is a lot more fun and scenic.
We had a great mix of bikes, with Kent(Triumph Rocket 3 Touring Edition), TERRminator (Honda Shadow Tourer), Jim (Moto Guzzi California Stone), Frank (Victory Cross Country), Bob (Moto Guzzi Eldorado) and me (Moto Guzzi Stelvio). We covered about 140 miles in total.
Thanks fellas for one heck of a fun ride!

Frank's new bike
Some pics from Koreatown, Los Angeles
Below are some pics I snapped while on my recent trip to visit a Korean client bank in Los Angeles, located in the Koreatown area.
The very kind folks there took me to lunch a couple times at Korean restaurants. Some of the more interesting things I tried were a boiling crock of tofu/beef/vegetable soup into which you crack a raw egg at the table and then stir the egg in to cook it. I also tried a little whole fried fish, kimchi (kind of a spiced cabbage type dish), dumplings and on and on. All good stuff! I even found a little microbrewery on my last night there that I ventured to, in neighboring Little Tokyo.

City of Angels
I made it to Los Angeles today. I am here to provide training on our software for a Korean Bank who is a client of ours.
I am staying right in the heart of downtown LA....pretty neat! I took a nice drive up the Pacific Coast Highway and stopped to see Huntington Beach. Pretty neat they have firepits all over the beach and lots of people had fires going.

Hither and yon
The last week or so I have found out that I will be flying to Los Angeles soon, specifically to the neighborhood known as K-Town, aka KoreaTown. I am going to train some of my fellow humanoids on our software there for a coupla days.
On St. Patrick's day my pal Bruce the Spruce Goose smoked some beef brisket and corned beef brisket to contribute to a celebratory feast we had at work. Ohhhhh boy it was really good!
Soon I should be getting my Suzuki SX4 back from the shop (fingers crossed) after the transaxle failure it suffered. With temps in the low 60's and in anticipation of the return of the Suzuki the Enforcer and I decided to have a few ales and we traveled in the drop-top Alfa Romeo Spider! Chicks dig the Spider, or so I have read on the Alfa forums :-) I need some proof!

Happy 89th Birthday MOTO GUZZI
Today marks the 89th year of existence of Moto Guzzi, the famed motorcycle maker of Italy. Moto Guzzi is the oldest European manufacturer in continuous motorcycle production.
Moto Guzzi was conceived by two aircraft pilots and their mechanic serving in the Corpo Aeronautico Militare (the Italian Air Corp, CAM) during World War I: Carlo Guzzi, Giovanni Ravelli and Giorgi Parodi.
Happy Birthday Moto Guzzi!
