Farmer's Market Aksarben Village

I had a great couple hours this a.m. with my sis and her husband Robert and my cute nephews Aidan and Roman. Met them at the Farmer's Market at the Aksarben Village in Omaha, a neat new bunch of shops n such built on the land that used to be the Aksarben horse racing track.

Boomtown!

I have been in El Dorado(rhymes with tornado), Arkansas since Sunday, at a client bank. I am helping to convert them to our new bank teller and new account software.

It was a 750 mile drive here, which I chose over flying down. ~12 hours or so.

El Dorado is billed as Arkansas' original "boomtown" with oil being a big presence here.

The bank people are extremely friendly and have been taking us out for big lunches of great food daily. Too much food!

Anyway I head home Friday. Some pics and comments at the link below:

Sushi

Today I went to a new place for lunch called Okinawa Sushi & Grill on 122nd and L.

They serve all sorts of sushi related items and chinese food as well. I had the snow crab roll and crunchy roll along with a little cup of miso soup.

The snow snow crab, avocado and asparagus wrapped in seaweed and then rolled in some sticky rice with sesame seeds. The crunchy roll is the same except replace the asparagus with crunchy tempura flakes.

My pal Bruce also went and had similar fare along with some squid salad to boot.

The Further Adventures of Spidey 'n' Me

I took an early evening drive in my 1986 Alfa Romeo Spider Graduate. A beautiful night for a top down drive.

Great Saturday ride with friends

Today I went on an awesome ride with some good motorcycling friends. What made it even more special is that Moto Guzzi motorcycles outnumbered the others, with 3 Guzzis, 2 Harleys and 1 Yamaha present.

My friends Scott and his stepson Brad rode on his Harley, Dennis rode his Harley, my brother in law Robert was on his Guzzi, Ken was on his Guzzi, Ryan was on his Yamaha and I was on my Guzzi.

We rode some fantastic roads in Iowa's Loess Hills, including a few I have not ridden for over 4 years since I had moved to Florida. Great to rediscover these gems. Thanks Ryan for leading us on some of those. 170 miles of joy today :-)

New riding friend Ken rides a Guzzi V7 Classic. What a sweet bike. Now I want one but alas I can't afford one. Oh well, we can't always get what we want.
