Lotsa fun at Barber Vintage Cycle Fest

Today was a fun day all around in Alabama. We started out at 7 a.m. with a trip to I-Hop for breakfast. Then we put our faith in the Garmin Quest GPS to get us to the museum/racetrack. As hoped, the gps recommended a great little route that took us through a winding, narrow, heavily forested road....perfect for motorcycling.

We got to the museum and spent about 4 hours absorbing the awesome motorcycle and automobile collection. Unbelievable!

Then we headed into the damp and drizzly outdoors and perched on a hill where we watched vintage motorcycles of all sorts and a fantastic airshow for the next several hours.....complete with some exciting motorcycle crashes!

We finished the night over a few brews and watched some of the Florida-LSU football (which I am watching as I create this blog entry in my hotel room).

Tomorrow it is back at it again early for a ride on some of the nice twisty roads here in Alabama and then back to the track for more racing and all things motorcycle!
